reuters: Britain’s landmark Big Ben clock tower adjoining the Houses of Parliament will be renamed “Elizabeth Tower” to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 60th year on the throne, a parliamentary official said on Tuesday. This is not technically true. The tower is being named “Elizabeth Tower”, not renamed “Elizabeth Tower”. It doesn’t currently have a name. Big Ben is the name of the biggest bell inside the clock tower.
