I have no idea who any of these people are

Me neither. But I’m kinda impressed by the way that even the world of Celebrities has become balkanized, fractured into hundreds of different sets of people who are famous to hundreds of different sets of the public. The concept of A-list/B-list/C-list is over: instead everything is context-dependent. I have no idea who Brittany Kerr is, but that doesn’t mean she’s necessarily less famous than, I dunno, Stephen Sondheim. We’ve just reached a world of different celebrities for different folks. It’s almost reached the point at at which being Famous On The Internet is actually a real kind of celebrity now. Even if the new Julia Allison is Violentacrez.
